There are lots of opportunities to find out more about State of Nature 2024 throughout October. Check out the dates below and join us to learn more about the state of our habitats and species, what is driving change, and what we can do to help. If you miss any of the talk series, don't worry! Recordings of these will be made available following each event via this link.

State of Nature 2024 talk series: State of coastal habitats

Join us for a presentation on the state of our coastal habitats in Guernsey and Herm, species associated with those habitats, the drivers of change of those habitats and species, and information on what we can do to help.

Joint intertidal event

The Nature Commission will be joining forces with La Société Guernesiaise and the Alderney Wildlife Trust and invites you to come down to the foreshore to learn more about some cool marine citizen science projects.

We will be demonstrating how you can take part in the Bailiwick Eelgrass Exploration Project (BEEP) and Guernsey Seasearch, as well as sharing information about native and invasive non-native species that we may find along the way.

We will also be sharing information from State of Nature 2024, including the state of our wider marine and coastal habitats, the species associated with those habitats, the drivers of change, and what we can do to help.

The Nature Commission is running a Big Seaweed Search and Great Eggcase Hunt on Thursday 31st October.
