Partnership with Bailiwick Social Prescribing

The Nature Commission is excited to be a quality assured partner of Bailiwick Social Prescribing.

One of the core aims of the Nature Commission is to encourage our island community to connect with the natural world—an approach that underpins green social prescribing. Through this partnership, the BSP link workers will be able to support people in accessing nature-based activities that can enhance both mental and physical wellbeing.

Spending time outdoors has been shown to reduce stress, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. It can boost the immune system, promote physical activity, and may even help lower the risk of chronic illness.

We offer a variety of opportunities to engage with Guernsey’s natural environment. From attending educational events to volunteering, there are many ways to get involved—whether gathering biological data through citizen science, supporting conservation and education projects, engaging with the public, or trying a little bit of everything.

We are looking forward to developing our partnership with Bailiwick Social Prescribing and supporting members of our community.
