State of Nature in Guernsey & Herm

What is being offered?

Improve your businesses understanding of local ecosystems and biodiversity, how they are fairing in Guernsey and Herm, and what opportunities there are for your business to incorporate environmental stewardship into your operations

Overview

The learning session is approximately 1 hour, and will cover  the following topics:

  • the importance of a healthy natural environment, for the economy, for our health and well-being, and for the island
  • marine, freshwater, and terrestrial habitats of Guernsey and Herm
  • the species associated with those habitats
  • what is causing change in the natural environment
  • how the natural environment relates to your industry
  • environmental stewardship opportunities for your staff and your business

It can be hosted at your offices, or any other location with a large screen for presenting.

As this is a theoretical learning session, as many staff can attend as needed.

£100 for a one hour educational session for your staff at your offices, led by a Guernsey Nature Commission team member.

The Nature Commission is a Guernsey charity that works with business, government, the third sector, and the public to enhance the Island's natural environment and promote greater native biodiversity. In particular, the Nature Commission is working to reverse the decline in biodiversity by protecting and enhancing Guernsey's natural environment for the health of our economy and well-being of our island community.
