People and Nature Survey Closed
The first-ever People and Nature Survey for Guernsey closed on 23rd November 2025 and we were delighted to receive an amazing 941 completed surveys.
The survey will help the Nature Commission to better understand how people interact with the natural environment – from coastal walks and sea swimming to wildlife watching and outdoor recreation. It captures how nature contributes to physical and mental health, social connection and island culture.
Results will be published in 2026 and will help build a clearer picture of how nature supports life on our island. The survey will be repeated in future years to build up a longer-term picture of how islanders connect with nature.
Congratulations go to Laurence Smith and Ben Walden who took part in the prize draw and won a Puffin Patrol Kayaking Trip with Outdoor Guernsey and a 'Real Guernsey Tour' with Tour Guernsey.
Together, let’s make nature part of everyday life.
